How does CAOLINO NATURAL WHITE work?
CAOLINO NATURAL WHITE has an exclusively physical action, because it covers the leaves and fruits, creating an inhospitable environment for insects and fungi. In addition, the white color reflects solar radiation, lowering the temperature of leaves and fruits: the dangers of burns of the fruits and dehydration that occurs at the leaf level is significantly reduced.
When should CAOLINO NATURAL WHITE be applied?
Especially during the hottest and sunniest season (from mid-June to the end of August), but it is also good, in smaller quantities, in the spring months, to inhibit the attack of insects.
Is it effective against the olive fruit fly?
Yes, it is very effective in PREVENTING oviposition inside the drupes: kaolin acts exclusively physically, creating a film that covers leaves and fruits. Therefore, the olive is hidden and protected from the insect. The fly is also bothered by the presence of dust, both from a respiratory and tactile point of view.
On which crops can I apply CAOLINO NATURAL WHITE?
It is possible to apply CAOLINO NATURAL WHITE on any type of crop: olive tree, vine, fruit growing, horticulture. It was found to be particularly effective in preventing olive fruit fly attacks, as the dust creates a highly inhospitable environment for the deposition of eggs inside the drupe and therefore the development of the disease.
What is CAOLINO NATURAL WHITE?
CAOLINO NATURAL WHITE is a micronized rock powder, obtained 100% from kaolin, used in agriculture as a corroborant. It is a substance of completely natural origin that improves the resistance of plants to biotic and abiotic stresses. It is a permitted product in organic farming.
How much CAOLINO NATURAL WHITE should I apply?
We recommend applying at 3 or 5%, therefore 3 or 5 kg per 100 litres of water. We recommend application every 28 days or so. However, it is important to consider the weather conditions: if abundant precipitation occurs ( > 40 / 50mm), the treatment must be repeated after each precipitation. Remember that the plant must always appear completely white.
What benefits does CAOLINO NATURAL WHITE bring?
Its white colour, together with its low cost, make it ideal for countless uses in organic and conventional agriculture. Chemically inert, it constitutes a form of prevention of undoubted effectiveness against numerous agronomic problems in total respect for the environment. Protects from thermal and water stress. It repels insects (as the olive fruit fly). Reduces leaf burns. It improves the quality of the fruits, grapes and wine. It increases the polyphenol content and the quality of the fruit. It is a substance of natural origin that improves the resistance of plants to biotic and abiotic stresses.
How should CAOLINO NATURAL WHITE be applied?
As a highly micronized powder (50% of the particles is <2 microns), it is possible to create a suspension in water and distribute it on plants even with the same spears used for green copper. Being highly micronized, it does not cause any problem of suspension or clogging of the atomizer.
What is ZEODRY?
ZEODRY is a mineral powder composed of 100% micronized clinoptilolite zeolite, and is used in agriculture as a corroborant. It is used by applying it on branches, leaves and fruits.
On which crops can I apply ZEODRY?
ZEODRY can be applied to any type of crop (horticultural, fruit, olive, vine) during the entire production cycle.
How does ZEODRY work?
It has a totally physical action: the dust forms a layer on the surface of branches, leaves and fruits that acts as a protective barrier. Being a zeolite clinoptilolite based product, the main effect is that of dehydration: it therefore makes the surface of the plant extremely dry and makes the environment highly inhospitable for the establishment of fungi, insects, mites, nematodes. In addition, it accelerates the healing of any lesions present on branches, fruits and leaves.
What are the dosages of ZEODRY?
Powder: 10-15 Kg / ha used as it is every 2 weeks. The dose can be reduced to 6-8 kg / ha, if used together with other treatments. In periods of high environmental humidity, the treatment can be repeated more frequently, every 7-10 days.
In aqueous suspension: 1-5 Kg / 100 l by foliar application, every 2 weeks. It is advisable to keep the suspension in constant agitation so that it does not deposit. In periods of high ambient humidity, the treatment can be repeated more frequently, every 7-10 days.
How is ZEODRY applied?
ZEODRY should be applied as a powder using an automatic or manual sprayer or in the form of an aqueous suspension, using an atomizer or similar manual equipment.
When is ZEODRY applied?
It can be used during the entire production cycle of the plant, and it is recommended for the prevention of a pathogen’s attack: it is therefore advisable to start treatments even just one day before the appearance of the pathogens.
Can I supplement ZEODRY with Bacillus thuringiensis?
Yes, it is possible to associate Bacillus thuringiensis with ZEODRY: our product prolongs the life of bacterial spores by 30%.
Can I supplement ZEODRY with copper or sulfur?
Yes, it is possible to supplement ZEODRY with copper or sulfur.
What is ZEOFERT?
It is an agricultural soil conditioner completely composed of granular zeolite clinoptilolite, 100% of natural origin, not treated or chemically enriched, which improves the availability of nutrients in the soil, both those of natural origin and those brought through fertilization.
ZEOFERT’s main function is to amplify and enhance the mechanism of action, applicability, stability, and availability of nutrients applied with classic NPK fertilizers.
How does ZEOFERT work?
ZEOFERT is a soil conditioner that improves the physical quality of the soil.
A soil that has been amended with ZEOFERT has a much greater capacity, than a soil that has not been amended, to make the nutrients provided by the application of fertilizers available to the plant. It allows to maintain stable the concentrations of macro and micronutrients provided by NPK fertilizers, allowing a lower consumption and consequently a lower application. The mineral of which it is composed (clinoptilolite certified up to 90%, completely natural) is in fact characterized by a high Cation Exchange Capacity (CSC).
ZEOFERT actively contributes to the transformation of the nutritional elements present in the soil from a form not available for the plant, to an assimilable and easily available form.
The nutrients from fertilizers and naturally present in the soil are adsorbed within the mineral, ensuring a drastic reduction in the concentration of nutrients by leaching, volatilization, or fixation with a reduction in the environmental impacts that these phenomena could cause.
ZEOFERT also has the ability to retain up to 35% of its weight in water: a soil amended with ZEOFERT manages water resources better, and will have the ability to drain water in case the soil is too saturated, and to release it and make it available to plants when the soil is too dry.
What are the dosages of ZEOFERT?
We generally recommend a dosage of 5t / ha, otherwise dosages for fruit trees, vineyards, reforestations we recommend 0.5 – 1 Kg / tree. And for example, for olive groves, on the other hand, we recommend burying the product along the planting line at a depth of 20 cm from the ground and administering 1 kg of ZEOFERT per tree.
When is ZEOFERT applied?
It is a treatment that must be carried out only once: therefore, we recommend treatment in the months in which the crops are in vegetative stasis, before sowing and transplanting.
What is ZEOSOAP?
ZEOSOAP is an invigorating, an enhancer of plants’ defences. It consists of an aqueous gel of potassium salts and vegetable oils (from olive oil) and is totally biodegradable. Product allowed in organic farming.
ZEOSOAP removes honeydew and sooty mold, as well as any organic coating that can reduce the action of light, chlorophyll photosynthesis, gas exchanges at the leaf level, restoring yields and production quality.
Is it possible to integrate ZEOSOAP with ….?
It is possible to integrate ZEOSOAP with our other products, as ZEOSOAP improves the wettability of ZEODRY and CAOLINO NATURAL WHITE, implementing their functionality.
If you want to supplement it with ZEODRY and / or CAOLINO NATURAL WHITE, we recommend the minimum doses of the latter.
However, it is not possible to integrate ZEOSOAP with acid products such as sulfur.
When do I use ZEOSOAP?
ZEOSOAP is used to prevent the appearance of soft-bodied insects such as aphids, scale insects, whiteflies, but also sooty mold. Also excellent for preventing the appearance of the bedbug, as it acts on eggs and nymphs.
However, it is recommended to use it after flowering, as not to hinder the work of pollinators. In addition, the product must be applied at the end of the day, away from the hot hours.
What benefits does ZEOSOAP bring?
ZEOSOAP strengthens the natural defences of plants against soft-bodied insects such as aphids, whiteflies, mites, psylla, leafhoppers, cochineal nymphs, metcalfa, etc. It reduces leaf moisture, which is essential for the proliferation of algae, fungi and bacteria. It naturally reduces the surface tension of the water, ensuring a more uniform and complete wetting. It exerts an excellent cleaning action on vegetation and fruit. Soft soap has low toxicity on mammalians and is therefore considered safe. ZEOSOAP removes honeydew and sooty mold, as well as any organic coating that can reduce the action of light, chlorophyll photosynthesis, gas exchanges at the leaf level, restoring yields and production quality.
How much ZEOSOAP can I apply?
We recommend diluting 1 l of liquid ZEOSOAP in 100 l of water or 500g of ZEOSOAP gel in 100 l of water.
Downy mildew is a fungal disease caused by the microorganism Plasmopara viticola belonging to the oomicota class. It has a life cycle and disease strongly conditioned by climatic conditions, and nowdays is one of the most widespread and dangerous diseases of the vine in many European and Italian regions.
During the winter, the fungus winters among the leaves in the ground, but as soon as, in spring, the temperature rises above 10 ° C and rain falls over 10 mm, the ciliated zoospores are released.
The ciliated zoospores move on the wet surface of the leaf and penetrate, through the stomata, into the leaf tissues.
The environmental humidity and the humidity present on the leaves play therefore a fundamental role in the onset and aggravation of the disease.
To fight the onset and severity of the disease, we propose to integrate our ZEOFERT® and ZEODRY® products.
ZEOFERT® is a soil conditioner composed of clinoptilolite zeolite, which allows the soil’s water resources to be managed in an optimal manner: soil amended with ZEOFERT® does not suffer from water stagnation, and requires less water with irrigation. A land that has the ability to better manage water resources is a land that reduces the possibility of inducing the development of fungal infections.
ZEODRY® is a corroborant for foliar application composed entirely of micronized clinoptilolite zeolite, whose function is to make and maintain dry leaves, fruits and trunks. Fungal hyphae cannot develop if they do not find the presence of a film of water on the leaf surface.
The integration of ZEODRY® and ZEOFERT® drastically reduces the possibility of the development of the disease, if used in prevention.
Commonly known as the flavescence dorée leafhopper (Scaphoideus titanus), it is a vector homopter of the flavescence dorée phytoplasma.
The scaphoid eggs are generally present in the cracks of the cortex. The juvenile stages grow on the underside of the leaves and prefer humidity.
The damages on the leaves are represented by the sap suntion events. Flavescence dorée, on the other hand, is a phytoplasm which, once has penetrated the phloem tissues of the host, blocks the passage of the processed lymph.
It is possible to drastically reduce the incidence of the disease with the use of our NATURAL WHITE® Kaolin: our Kaolin performs a purely physical action, creating a barrier that completely covers the plant. If applied as a preventive function, kaolin makes the plant a highly inhospitable environment for the permanence of all the vital phases of the insect. If the insect cannot remain on the plant, it will not even be able to transmit the phytoplasma of the flavescence dorée.
The olive fruit fly (Bactrocera oleae) is a carpophagous insect, whose larva is a miner of the olive drupe. The drupes that become the home of the olive fly larvae produce much less oil, and of significantly worse quality.
It is therefore important to prevent the adults’ oviposition inside the drupes.
To do this, treating the olive grove with our NATURAL WHITE® kaolin is extremely effective: already with only two or three applications carried out in a preventive treating during the production cycle, it is possible to drastically reduce the incidence of infection.
Is it still spring? Are the temperatures not too high and the humidity is strongly influenced by frequent rainfall? Is there a risk of the development of fungal or insect infections? The best product, in this case, is ZEODRY®: it has the ability to keep the leaves, fruits and branches dry even in conditions of high humidity, even if it is important to carry out one treatment per week. It is also possible to integrate ZEODRY® with copper and sulfur to increase the fungicidal effect.
Has summer begun? Are the temperatures very high and is there a risk that solar radiation will cause burns on leaves and fruits? Then the most suitable product in this case is CAOLINO NATURAL WHITE®: it not only protects against fungal and insect infections, but effectively reflects heat and UV rays, preventing the formation of burns and excessive loss of water due to excessive perspiration.
